A major difficulty for some people in the summer (as is comparably the case in Scotland) is the insect life; I have been eaten alive by summer mosquitos in various parts of Scandinavia. If they like the smell of you, and you are camping in wild places, nowhere is completely safe. Breezy places in daylight are mostly OK; sheltered places in twilight (and bear in mind that twilight can go on for about six hours between long periods of daylight) are generally not.
That's true every place I've ever been where there is forest and / or wild areas. I've been nearly eaten alive myself in July in Alpine Germany, but never had a problem in Scandinavia. It depends as much on weather as location. A warm spell that follows a damp one in summer will guarantee biting insects in many wild places.
