Cromford canal towpath closure

The route will be closed for resurfacing between High Peak junction and Cromford wharf from 9 November 2015 until 31 January 2016.

Thanks! Though I'm a little surprised, wasn't it closed earlier this year too?

Be interesting to see what they do with it, I haven't used in in a few years it was so bad, preferring to come off at High Peak Junction and use the road.

It is part of a rolling programme to give a good surface all the way from Cromford to Ambergate.

Walked the canal from Ambergate to Cromford Wharf today. The works seem to be complete with a good surface all the way.
