Search on your name

Post by AlanD »

Well who's typed their name into Google etc to see what comes up then?
I am a photographer, an author and a solicitor.
And until recently, I was also on Death Row.

Anyone got any interesting namesakes?

I've just tried it, amongst a few namesakes with not particularly interesting jobs, I found one who has written a book on "Pork farm odour modelling using multiple-component multiple-factor analysis and neural networks" :!: . I'll have to look for it on the best seller list this Christmas

3,560,000 hits. (10,300,000 if I use the shortened version of my first name)

Just about everyone and their dog has the same name (including a well known character from the Profumo affair...)
I've been shot by police, been a footballer, a motorcycle racer (now deceased). In fact I can't something my namesake hasn't done...

The only way my name can be more popular is changing my surname to Smith (47,600,000 hits).

30,800 results.

Working from the top down:-

On the plus side I'm almost 6 years younger.

On the minus side I play cricket.

7th down my google search results is the disappointing news that, "There are no articles about (gaz - real name withheld) in the FANTASY section". :(

It's the 19th entry before I find anything about the real me.

Not many hits for my name as its not very usual, but amongst other things I'm a photographer, an Australian children's book illustrator and apparently I'm quite good at table tennis :D

Me - I'm on facebook  :?: and now also on Twitter. :x
I have a professional profile - don't ask. :?
Location "Sheffield" - I mean, heck that's blinking Yorkshire, what an insult (even if it is upp north).
There are 10 people in the USA with my name. (can I sue them for impersonation?) must see a lawyer.
I've constructed a web page? - I have trouble hanging wallpaper so I doubt I can construct a webpage. Although I built a farmhouse in Essex in 1480.
The name first appears in records of the 12th century in the 100 Rolls of Yorkshire in 1273 (blimey Yorkshire again & my Dad said he came from Wolverhampton)

This I do like=
Known as "Dimples" likes basketball, weekends and women. 8) :D --. (please don't tell the wife.)

I've just tried googling Malcolm - again not many hits because of our surname but he has apparently written several books, one on the martyrs of England and Wales, and another on continuous linear programming (whatever that is) . Oh he's also a silversmith (now, that might be nice... :D )

On www.google.co.uk I'm me - numero uno.

On www.google.com I'm the author Patrick Taylor: ex-patriate Ulsteman divides his time between Ireland and Canada. Penned an Irish Country Doctor and is a seannachie of ...

That other Patrick Taylor is obviously also a cheat! (and for an author, he spells Ulsterman a bit strangely)

Bensonboo, you have my sympathies.

I am also a registered cervical smear taker
I was killed by a hit and run driver in Midsomer Murders.
And I am a character in Holby City.

In over 1,230,000 listings, it's about 12 pages before I find an entry that I put on the Telegraph about cycling.

Are there any murderers, celebrities, or world leaders out there?
