New section
New section
On the theme of this threads title does anyone know why we do not have a specific section for health and fitness like Cyclechat have. It does seem to me to be a little ironic that we do not have this section as the majority of CTC members are of an age where health issues may be an issue.
I personally have sought advice on health on Cylechat and I have received great advice and support from other forum members.
I would suggest that this section could be just as important to have as the women's section is which was recently created.

Can't see a problem with that, good idea.

Thanks Colin
Re: New section
Great idea Ted. Its a fundamental reason why some of us cycle.

Re: New section
Good idea. I cycle for pleasure, but certainly appreciate the fitness benefits. At my age I'm more interested in how my general health issues (arthritis, Raynaud's syndrome, lower back pain) affect my cycling (and vice-versa) than I am with nutrition and performance enhancing information.
I've already had good advice from forum members, but a specific section would be interesting (and to many others, I would expect)

Agree.
It sounds like an excellent idea.
Irrespective of any assumptions about the age of folks on here

Re: New section
Thanks al Geoff and sweep it really does make sense to me to have this section.
As I have said I currently have these silly health issues and its great to be able to get support and information on the CC forum and it seems to be made of characters like us on here, that although we will probably never meet, care about each other.

Not the first time this idea has been put forward viewtopic.php?f=14&t=52464
However any suggested new board needs a ground swell of support before the admin team will consider doing the work to set it up.
Good luck.

No, hang on, it's my . . . . . . . . . motivation to create a new section.

Suppose that this room is a lift. The support breaks and down we go with ever-increasing velocity.

Hopefully fixed now.
Sorry . . .. one small parameter selection ( missed ) among many.

I don't know where that came from - that sounds like 'British Cycling' trying another ploy to ridicule us - but I'm ok with the proposal.

Well technically it is true. Any person aged from 0 up to 120 is of an age where health issues may be an issue.
(I hope I haven't accidentally omitted any members who are over 120 )
