http://retrogrouch.blogspot.co.uk/

You missed the http:// off

All you need to do, is to navigate to the web page you want, and copy and paste the url onto your message.

That's ok. :D
Happy New Year to you too.

Actually, you can do the same as many people do, in that they embed the url into a word that highlights in blue, like this.

........... done like:
[url=http://forum.ctc.org.uk/index.php with a ] followed by "this" and another [ and /url]

It used to be a good idea to do it like that because the old forum software put the whole string on the message. Now with the new software, it automatically truncates it, so you can use long urls without clogging up your message.

Like this:
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Wigan& ... m&t=m&z=12

Thanks for taking the time to explain all that Mick,it's all a bit too early in the year ! I'll have another go later on, if you haven't read the bikeretrogrouch site, there's some stuff on there about his Mercian Vincitore and Superlight which should be right up your bike path! The retrogrouch site is a totallydifferent thing and seems to be a political rant type site.
