How to hyperlink to Google Streetview

Can any kind person tell me how to link to a specific Google Streetview view? It doesn't relate to the URL but others seem to manage it. What's the trick?

Hopefully you found the little symbol looking like a chain link.

You click on the chain link and a window opens with the URL to copy and paste into your message.

Thanks for that Mick. The funny thing is that I did find it moments after I posted the request. This often happens - must be something psychological... . Anyway you have made it very clear for anyone else - it is a useful thing to know.

Well I used to know how to go this, as outlined above but Google changed their system a little while ago and I'm damned if I can work it out how it's done now .

Any pointers gratefully received.

Right click in the Streetview location box in top left corner, select "Page Info", cut and paste web page address.

But there must be something simpler.

Talking of streetview - does anyone know how you get the old view up - where you got half the screen as street view and half as map rather than just a little map in the corner?

that gives me a view that has the picture taking up most of the screen with a map in the left hand corner...does it look different on your? I was after having it half and half.

Just sussed what you want!

Try this:

There's a little arrow top/left of the little map in the bottom/right of the streetview.
Click on it, and the bigger map opens up.
Note that there's a little arrow on the bottom/right of the map.
Click on that, and the map goes back to "little".

Aha, found what I needed - hidden in the help (the last place any bloke will look): "Return to classic google maps" or some such!

I'd just about got to grips with making maps in the Classic Google. Can't fathom out the new version at all .

I thought Mac owners used iMaps or somesuch .

Just the home page, after exiting the intro box.

Firefox takes me straight to it, mostly. Once in a while I seem to land on Classic but that might be through clicking URLs rather than using a bookmark.

Getting used to it but slowly, still inspires random curses on a regular basis.
