It is in the Scottish Borders, starting in the upper Ettrick Valley (the 'house' and phonebox, is the local Ettrick village hall), I rode up the valley, walked a section of the Southern Upland Way across to Loch of the Lowes and St Mary's Loch, then rode back over to the Etrrick via The Gordon Arms and the B709, and it was in mid-february when there was a great weekend of calm sunny weather.
