REBUILT BUTCHERS BIKE. PROJECT FINISHED
After working on it all winter I have now completed the restoration and rebuild of a hybrid butchers bike. I've posted a brief video on youtube:

(If the above link doesn't work go into youtube and type Butchers Bike
History, objective and spec are covered in my blog:

Brilliant job and keep well. A couple of weeks ago I went to Brooklands, which is not too far away from you, and discovered that they had a great collection of bikes but I never saw a trades bike so it was great to see and read about yours.

I used to deliver meat riding one of these in the 50s. One day I was really overloaded. I dismounted the bike on a steep hill and it tipped forward scattering all the meat in the road. The labels were all just stuck on the meat by the wet blood. Unfortunately lots of the labels came off. I stuck them back on as best I could. They had the addresses on them. When I got back to the shop there had been a stream of phone calls complaining about getting the wrong meat!
Your bike is great, it brings back lots of happy memories.

Reuse, recycle, thus do your bit to save the planet.... Get stuff at auctions, Dump, Charity Shops, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, Car Boots. Choose an Old House, and a Banger ..... And cycle as often as you can......
